People think the French tanks weren't that good. On the contrary France wasn't as unprepared or under capable as people think. Not only did the French have more tanks about 3,500 then Germany who had around 2,400 tanks. And many of the French tanks were actually better in quality then the Germans, they had decent artillery some actually quite good. It was the poor deployment, lack of communication, and the outdated WW1 tactics that at the time were still a major part of French millitary doctrine, is what undid them. They also relied a bit too much on its allies for support, The Dutch had no tanks and poor training but an efficent system of natural and manmade water line defenses, the Belgians had some impressive defenses along the Albert Canal like fort Eben-Emael and good equipment and training not to mention an incredibly brave army, but had no tanks and a limited number of (though effective) anti tank weapons, and neither the French, Dutch, or Belgians had even the slightest means of challenging the Luftwaffe.

The eastern front has been done sooo many times plus RO2 does it better than this game could currently, I'm glad they went with the lesser done french side of ww2 and hope they stick with adding the lesser known fronts of the war.
