This is the infamous Saving Private Ryan D-Day parody from the Xbox remake of Conker’s Bad Fur Day, or Conker: Live and Reloaded, if you will.

There is no denying that Rare had a broad stoke of brilliance with its parodies. The Matrix, The Untouchables, The Terminator, Pulp Fiction… the list goes on, and all are absolutely hilarious.

The in-game Saving Private Ryan parody you see here does not disappoint. It looks amazing on the Xbox and sounds just as great. Even better, it has all of the little touches from the film, like the camera bobbing in and out of the water and Conker being temporarily deafened by the chaos around him. Simply awesome.

You know, after playing this, I honestly believe that Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Medal of Honor: Frontline borrowed gameplay and presentation elements from this scene in Conker’s Bad Fur Day. It would not be the first time EA had borrowed from Rare… after all, without GoldenEye, there would be no Medal of Honor.
